What are Spudcasts?

The Spudcasts series is a new initiative launched by AUSVEG as part of the Potato Industry Extension Program. The series aims to provide members of the Australian potato industry with a fresh and convenient way of accessing new potato R&D information. Spudcasts are essentially potato R&D audio episodes, similar to a themed radio program. Each Spudcast episode will address a key issue affecting Australian potato producers, and will provide further insight into articles featured in Potatoes Australia magazine.

Download to a portable audio device
  • You can download (save) each episode as an MP3 audio file. This will allow you to listen to the program on your Smartphone, iPod or other portable media device, such as an MP3 player. Simply press the ‘Download’ link next to each Spudcast episode.
Listen in your tractor!
  • Growers with vehicles equipped with a USB input in the cab stereo - like many of the tractors in the John Deere range - can also listen to the programs while out in the field. Simply download each audio episode onto a USB stick, then plug this into the USB input located on your vehicle’s cab stereo.
