Value of vegetable production
- The total gross value of vegetable production was flat in 2009/10 at $3.02 billion compared to $3.01 billion in 2008/09.
- Data on the value of individual vegetables was limited to five vegetables in 2009/10.
- Potatoes were the largest crop by value, accounting for just over 20% of the total in 2009/10.
- In all likelihood the other major vegetables by value would have been tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, carrots, lettuces and melons.
