The Horticulture Industry Labour Agreement (HILA) template is now available.

Growers can now access the agreement template to help with their applications for semi-skilled and skilled workers.

The agreement includes 31 approved occupations relating to horticulture, including 16 new occupations which are listed here.

The industry was successful in negotiating a number of concessions under the agreement including English speaking requirements, salary concessions and pathways to permanent residency.

The agreement is in place for five years, with a review component built into the agreement after the first 12 months.

AUSVEG encourages growers to view the agreement and assess how it could help their farm business.

AUSVEG also encourages growers and migration agents to provide any feedback on the HILA to help build its evidence base for the 12-month review.

For any feedback please email tyson.cattle@ausveg.com.au. The HILA template is available here.
