The Soil Wealth/Integrated Crop Protection team has set up a new demonstration site at Cowra to demonstrate the benefits of new tools to improve water use efficiency in potatoes.

Marc Hinderager and Kelvin Montagu from Applied Horticultural Research (AHR) are using Wildeye® soil moisture monitors and the IrriSAT app to forecast irrigation requirements and monitor crop water use in centre pivot irrigated potatoes with Dominic Pace, Lachlan Valley Produce, Cowra.

The Soil Wealth/Integrated Crop Protection project is a strategic levy investment under the Hort Innovation Vegetable Fund and is delivered by AHR and RM Consulting Group.
