Mulgowie Farming Co. hosts the Treasurer of Australia to discuss rising input costs
On Thursday, the Treasurer of Australia, the Hon. Dr Jim Chalmers visited Queensland’s Lockyer Valley region, to speak to growers, producers and employers about food prices and much more, as part of a listening tour designed to help inform the Labor government’s first Budget.
As part of Labor’s national pre-Budget consultations, Dr Chalmers visited Mulgowie Farming Company and spoke with its CEO Melanie Chambers, to hear firsthand about the real challenges Australian farmers are working hard to overcome right now.
Dr Chalmers published this short video on social media, where he highlights some of the rising input costs and other issues growers are experiencing.
