The horticulture industry is worth more than $1.7 billion to New South Wales – the state’s second largest agricultural industry, by value.

It’s still growing, with new trade deals and innovative products, and plans for an agri-precinct at Western Sydney Airport set to give producers even easier access to growing international markets.

But drought, access to water, tightening profit margins, labour shortages and COVID-19 have put pressure on the industry.

Farm Writers’ Association of NSW invites you to attend a webinar at 12.30pm (AEST) on Friday 24 July, where three industry experts – Hort Innovation CEO Matt Brand, Syngenta Head of Vegetable Seeds Gerard Sippel and Inspire Ag Chief Inspiration Officer Sally Murfet – will discuss whether horticulture can remain resilient to the challenges it’s facing for the rest of 2020 and beyond.
