DESCRIPTION:The 2017 Safety and Health Workshops are aimed at anyone who is a business owner\, employer\, manager\, supervisor\, safety and health representative or an OSH manager. \nYou will have the opportunity to hear and learn from presenters with a wealth of occupational safety and health industry experience and expertise\, as well as gain tools\, techniques and strategies to take back to your workplace. \nMorning session: Slips\, trips and falls cause injuries in the workplace and accounted for approximately 23.5% of all lost time injuries in Western Australian workplaces over the last five years.  During this workshop you will learn about slips and trips\, how they are caused\, why preventing them is important and how to reduce the risk. The presentation will include a case study regarding a successful asbestos removal project carried out on a historic item of plant in a highly sensitive location. \nThis is a practical session where participants will develop and apply their knowledge of organisational risk factors that contribute to psychosocial hazards and learn how to conduct a risk assessment specifically for psychosocial hazards. \nFor more information\, see the event website.
