DESCRIPTION:Home / Cape LiptrapEnhancing farm dams for stock and biodiversity: What difference does a year make? \nCome and see the changes that have occurred since Jillian Staton & Bruce Whittaker altered their farm dam to restrict stock access for productivity and biodiversity outcomes. \nWe will discuss the results of monitoring to compare the impacts of  three different farm management systems (restricted\, total stock exclusion and unrestricted access) on: \n\nwater quality\nmacroinvertebrate (waterbug) levels\nfrogs\, wildlife and pest species.\n\nWe will also hear about: \n\nthe role farm dams can play in native fish conservation strategies\nmanaging vegetation around farm dams\, including azola and phragmites.\n\nPresenters include: \n\nJillian Staton: a landholder’s perspective\nTy Matthews (Deakin University) & students Jasper Davis and Balin Branch-Spence\nDavid Carew (Carew Environmental)\nMatt Bowler (WGCMA)\n\n\nLunch included
