PMA A-NZ Food Safety: managing the risk

In recent years the safety of fresh produce has come under increased scrutiny from regulators, retailers, and the public because of a series of high-profile incidents which have impacted the health of consumers. These incidents have included Salmonella in salad products and sprouts, Hepatitis A virus in pomegranate arils and raspberries, and Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella in rockmelons.
