One of the biggest issues facing growers in this difficult time is labour and the looming workforce shortage for horticulture.

Working Holiday Maker numbers have declined significantly since the start of the pandemic and currently sit at around 85,000 still in Australia.

AUSVEG, along with various industry bodies including the NFF Horticulture Council and Australian Fresh Produce Alliance (AFPA), has been working with the Federal Government to try and find solutions to this issue.
