Bean root rot is a major problem in bean production areas throughout Queensland. The following pathogens were found to form a complex in the Gympie Region, Fusarium solani, Aphanomyces euteiches, Rhizoctonia solani, and Pythium spp. This project undertook glasshouse and laboratory experiments to gain an understanding of the etiology of the bean root rot disease, with further field trials to evaluate possible control methods.
