27 June 2022Hort Connections 2022 has been heralded a tremendous success, with AUSVEG and International Fresh Produce Association Australia New Zealand (IFPA ANZ; formerly PMA Australia-New Zealand Limited), joining forces once again to deliver the premier event in Australian horticulture.
Delegates attended the conference in-person at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 6-8 June to explore the theme of “Growing Together”, which highlighted the importance of every sector of the horticulture industry uniting to build a stronger more resilient food system to feed local and international consumers.
Hort Connections 2022 encompassed speaker sessions, a trade show, off-site farm and retail tours, a national awards for excellence Gala Dinner, and a variety of networking events for all members of the horticulture supply chain. The conference provided an opportunity for delegates to build their knowledge and networks and find out new ways to improve the productivity and profitability of their businesses.
The Hort Connections conference encompasses the vegetable, fruit, nut, cut floral and nursery sectors. This year, over 200 industry organisations and supply chain partners supported the event to provide added value to delegates and allow them to access the expertise and services of a range of industry members in one central location.
This year’s event was supported by Hort Innovation – Principal Convention Partner – as well as the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, and Syngenta, which came on-board as sponsors of the event.
