Advocacy Update: 2026 Federal Budget Special
13 May 2026The latest breakthroughs, updates and innovations from industry levy-funded R&D projects will be on display for Australian vegetable, potato and onion growers on 1 June in Adelaide, during the Annual Vegetable Industry Seminar (AVIS).
Held alongside Hort Connections 2026, and funded by Hort Innovation through the vegetable levy, AVIS will bring together leading experts and project leaders to share knowledge, research-driven insights and practical takeaways aimed at increasing grower awareness and adoption of productivity-enhancing developments.
Key topics and projects to be covered at AVIS 2026 include:
- Application of AI to farming businesses.
- AgTech updates from the VegMech project.
- Ten years of the VegNET vegetable industry extension program.
- AgChem updates, upcoming reviews and industry priorities.
- Plus One Serve program update on increasing vegetable consumption.
- Grower insights from recent industry study tours.
- Growing Leaders program participant panel discussion.
AVIS is designed for vegetable, potato, and onion growers, with funding also available for growers to attend, network and see their R&D levies in action.
