5 October 2021The generation of pesticide residue, efficacy and crop safety data is required to support label registration and minor use permit applications made to the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) that, when approved, provides access to safe and effective chemicals for the management of pests, weeds and diseases.
As part of two ongoing Hort Innovation-funded projects, the APVMA has approved the Bayer Sivanto Prime label extension insecticide for various aphids and whitefly, which includes new use in cucurbits, eggplant, peppers (capsicum and chili), tomatoes (field and protected cropping), as well as for green beans, potatoes and sweet potatoes.
