Australian spinach growers set to reduce food waste and harvest more of their crop with launch of new Odd Bunch range at Woolworths
At Woolworths, they believe good fresh food shouldn’t be wasted. That’s why they have a range of fruit and veggies called The Odd Bunch. The range combines sustainability with great value that benefits both Australian farmers and our customers.
Since 2015, 204,488 tonnes of The Odd Bunch fruit and veg has been sold that would have otherwise gone to landfill, which has helped farmers sell more of their crop.
Woolworths partners with over 70 suppliers for the The Odd Bunch range across 68 products. One of these is The Odd Bunch Chopped Spinach, created in partnership with One Harvest.
Out of spec or unused spinach is carefully washed, trimmed and packaged and is available in Woolworths supermarkets nationally.
