New fall armyworm pheromone trap guide
In February this year, fall armyworm was detected on mainland Australia for the first time and has since spread across Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.
Since then, growers and industry experts have set up traps to help identify, track and manage the invasive pest.

This guide has been developed from experience in QLD (March–May, 2020) with the fall armyworm bucket traps equipped with the ChemTica pheromone lure, to enable trap operators to distinguish the moths that are potentially fall armyworm.
The guide has been produced by the QLD Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.
