This poster highlights results from trials carried out to find alternative fungicides for Sclerotinia disease control in beans, lettuce and pyrethrum. These trials were necessitated by the sudden withdrawal in 2004 of procymidone from use on some vegetables. Up-to-date information on registered and permitted chemicals should be obtained by growers intending to use chemical control options. Other extension resources discuss the importance of rotation of chemicals from different chemical groups (to prevent the build-up of resistance) and the use of non-chemical management strategies that assist with control of Sclerotinia diseases.
