11 February 2020Applications for Churchill Fellowships are open, giving three lucky members of the Australia’s horticulture industry a life-changing opportunity to travel overseas to research industry topics that they are passionate about.
The Fellowships — made available through a partnership between the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust and Hort Innovation — are designed to help future leaders of the Australian horticulture industry gain new perspectives on issues facing the industry and learn new ways to tackle them.
Unlike some other travel scholarships, Churchill Fellowships allow participants to travel for four-to-eight weeks at a time that suits them between 1 February 2021 and 31 January 2022. Applicants design their own projects so they can access expertise that cannot be found in Australia.
The average amount of funding awarded to each successful application to cover travel costs and living expenses is estimated at $25,000.
