The project will provide recommendations for improving the vegetable industry’s innovation system, ultimately leading to a more competitive and sustainable sector.
The Australian vegetable industry is diverse, with various scales of production and levels of development across regions. This project acknowledges this complexity and aims to create a more efficient and effective innovation system.
The project will involve:
• Benchmarking: Comparing the current innovation system to successful models.
• Research and analysis: Examining how current structures and functions affect innovation.
• Stakeholder engagement: Working with industry representatives to identify opportunities.
• Recommendations: Providing a roadmap to strengthen the innovation system.
• Scientific publications: Sharing the research findings with a wider scientific audience.
