31 October 2022VG22000 Vegetable Industry Communications Program is a comprehensive program that communicates the findings of research outcomes funded by the vegetable research and development (R&D) levy and other relevant industry news to growers and supply chain participants.
The program supports increased awareness and adoption of industry-funded R&D by using a variety of traditional and online communications channels to disseminate industry research outcomes, sharing updates on industry news and events, and communicating the return on investment from the vegetable industry R&D levy.
The delivery of a variety of print and online communications outputs is informed by close engagement with a Project Reference Group (PRG) and the vegetable industry extension project (VegNET). These outputs include:
- Quarterly R&D content in Australian Grower magazine.
- ‘Weekly Update’ e-newsletter.
- Videos and podcasts highlighting research outcomes.
- Ongoing maintenance of the AUSVEG industry website, including the development of a specific online hub, the Knowledge Hub, and prior to its launch regular updates to the InfoVeg research catalogue.
- R&D case studies.
- Ongoing media and social media promotion of industry-funded research, including a dedicated integrated regional media and social media ‘influencer’ plan.
- Translation of R&D articles.
This project has been funded by Hort Innovation, using the research and development levies listed below and contributions from the Australian Government. Hort Innovation is the grower-owned, not-for-profit research and development corporation for Australian horticulture.
