Much investment has occurred in the research and development in genetic improvement, with a major component of this dedicated to the evaluation of varieties bred in Australia and overseas. This report explores the opportunities for the development of the best practices methodologies and support systems across horticulture. The report also addresses the benefits that are realised, the barriers to implementation and the strategies required to progress the concept.
