This report summarises outcomes of a 12 month project continuing the research from a previous scoping study regarding root rot in parsley, this included trials identifying cultivars tolerant to root rot, fungicide alternative as well as biocontrol agents. Research shows a fungal biocontrol of the naturally occuring mycoparasite water mould, Pythium oligandrum, is effective against water moulds in pot trials, but its commercial preparation is ineffective.
