AUSVEG SA will be holding a workshop on for growers in the northern Adelaide region looking at new technologies in insect trapping, agrichemical grower needs, and pest updates.
Time/date: 10:30am–1:00pm, Monday 12 November 2018
Location: Thorndon Park Produce, Corner of Gawler River Road and Heaslip Road, Gawler River SA
Topics and speakers for the workshop will include:
- Christina Cook (PIRSA) and Michelle Carr (Biosecurity SA – Plant Health), discussing current biosecurity matters/concerns and informatoin regarding preparedness for a potential fruit fly outbreak
- Rohan Kimber (SARDI) on smart trapping for insect pests and diseases and demonstration of new technology
- Patrick Arratia (AUSVEG) on identifying pest priorities and agrichemical gaps for the vegetable industry
- Callum Fletcher (AUSVEG) giving an update in tomato potato psyllid and on-farm pest risk management
