AUSVEG Advocacy Update: Nationwide advertising campaign to give vegetable growers a boost
3 February 2026Hort Innovation’s Industry Services Managers Mark Spees and Chris O’Connor are currently consulting with AUSVEG, and the wider grower community to identify key investment and research priorities for the next 12-months and beyond. During February 2026, they are going out to growers nationally to seek input on how Vegetable, Onion, and Potato levy funds are invested for the benefit of the industry.
With significant levy funds forecast for research and investment over the next five years, your feedback as growers is vital to guide what the final strategic investment plan will include and the focus for new project investments.
To provide an opportunity for your ideas to be heard, a short 5-minute survey is being shared, so please click on the relevant link below.
Surveys will close on 27 February 2026.
From 2026 Hort Innovation will review these priorities with the vegetable, onion, and potato industries annually.
If you have any questions, please contact Mark Spees mark.spees@horticulture.com.au or Chris O’Connor chris.oconnor@horticulture.com.au
With many local growers speaking languages other than English, it is important to make it as easy as possible for the grower community to have their say on the priorities that matter to them. That is why the vegetable grower survey has been translated into five common grower languages
When growers open the vegetable industry survey, they can click on the language button in the right-hand corner, and a drop-down menu will link to five survey options in languages other than English.
