Nominations are now open for the prestigious Reg Miller Award, providing an opportunity to recognise a grower or industry stakeholder who has made an outstanding contribution to the Australian onion industry.

The award honours the legacy of South Australian grower Reg Miller, a respected industry figure and one of the founding members of Onions Australia. Throughout his career, Miller was a strong advocate for growers, serving on multiple committees and supporting grower associations to ensure the interests of the onion industry and onion growers were represented.

Today, the Reg Miller Award celebrates and recognises growers and onion industry stakeholders who embody the same qualities of leadership, service and commitment. It provides an opportunity to acknowledge individuals who have gone above and beyond, whether through advocacy, innovation, community involvement or sustained commitment to supporting Australian onion growers. The award is not limited to those in formal leadership positions but rather seeks to acknowledge an individual who is actively driving positive change for the broader industry.

Nominations for the Reg Miller Award are now open, with growers and industry stakeholders encouraged to nominate an individual who has made a meaningful difference to the Australian onion sector.

The 2026 Reg Miller Award winner will be announced at the Australian Onion Conference Gala Dinner on 3 December 2026 in Devonport, Tasmania.
