5 June 2018Data is only as good as its user – so as our industry becomes increasingly data-driven, you can get ahead of the curve by learning how to best collect and interpret data to inform your business decisions.
A panel discussion at Hort Connections 2018 will give you the chance to hear from researchers about data and trend analysis, and learn from leading industry members about how data is helping them take their businesses to the next level.
The panel How can I make better decisions using data will be moderated by Hort Innovation Data Analyst Adam Briggs, and will feature:
- Martin Kneebone (Freshlogic)
- Emma Germano (I Love Farms)
- Angelica Suarez Cadavid (University of New England)
- Kees Versteeg (Qualipac)
Attendees at last year’s Hort Connections may remember Martin from his presentation about adding value in export markets, or his analysis of the top 20 fresh vegetables in the Australian market. Martin has also taken the lead on projects that Freshlogic has delivered for the industry, including the ongoing vegetable wholesale market price reports and work analysing the potential for vegetables to capture the snacking market.
Hort Innovation has also put together some short video packages on Martin and fellow panelist Kees Versteeg to showcase some of the experience and insights they’ll be bringing to the session.
This session will start around 10:00am on Wednesday 20 June 2018, following the NAB Agribusiness session on Tomorrow’s Workforce, and will be a great follow-up to the earlier Hort Innovation panel on future food trends.
