This final report aims to summarize the project MT09095 that ran workshops during Jully 2010. These workshops have increased industry knowledge of the psyllid and have increased awareness about the threat and associated risk of tomato-potato psyllid.

Three workshops were held in Tasmania on the Tomato-potato psyllid/Liberibacter/phytoplasma complex. One workshop was held in each of the North West, North East and Southern regions of Tasmania. The objectives of the workshop series was to: increase awareness of the risks associated with the tomato-potato psyllid to the Australian vegetable industries, particularly the Tasmanian potato industry; increase preparedness of industry, particularly tomato and potato, for possible incursion and establishment of the psyllid in Australia; expose Tasmanian growers, researchers, agronomists and contractors to NZ expertise and research to date; strengthen networks between industry stakeholders; and identify key issues for Tasmania.
