Mechanisation, Automation, Robotics, and Remote Sensing (MARRS) for Australian horticulture
Project report
Industry development and communication, Postharvest and supply chain and more
This project was undertaken to prepare a clear business strategic plan (based upon case studies, a review of current and future expectations across the horticulture industry, and an analysis of competitive overseas trends), to help advise the National Horticulture Research Network (NHRN) and Horticulture Australia Ltd in relation to a future investment into Mechanisation, Automation, Robotics, and Remote Sensing (MARRS) for Australia’s horticulture industry. This scoping study has highlighted an industry need for MARRS solutions, and this translates into a compelling case for the building of a Centre in MARRS for the horticulture industry extending across Australia and NZ.
