Tips to protect beneficial insects in an IPM program

Article
Pests diseases and biosecurity and Chemicals & pesticides

Chemicals have different modes of action that can affect both insect pests and beneficial species differently.

It’s important for growers to understand the risk profile of these modes of action, and how it can be used to implement an integrated pest management (IPM) approach. Find out more in this webinar recording from the Soil Wealth ICP project:

Growers and agronomists can also access a series of guides developed by IPM Technologies which provide information on the effects of pesticides on key beneficial insects in crops including brassicas; cucurbits and fruiting vegetables; leafy vegetables and head lettuce; legume vegetables; root and tuber vegetables; stalk and stem vegetables; and sweet corn.

This resource has been produced by the Hort Innovation-funded Soil Wealth and ICP project – jointly delivered by RM Consulting Group and Applied Horticultural Research.
