Potato and vegetable growers are invited to attend a field walk in Manjimup, Western Australia, where cover cropping specialist Dr Kelvin Montagu, and growers Andrew Falcinella and Jake Ryan, will explore the role of cover crops in improving soil structure, building soil organic matter, managing soil-borne disease and weeds, reducing erosion and nutrient loss, and adding nitrogen.

They will also discuss how strip-tillage can be used to maintain soil health.

Other talking points will include the use of biofumigants and the PREDICTA Pt testing service to identify which soil-borne pathogens pose a risk at the site.
