This project undertook three trials on the Krasnozem soils in 1995/96 investigating the effect of nitrogen topdressing on the yield and quality of onions. The project further investigated the application of a range of rates of topdressed nitrogen (as Nitram) and measured the effect on onion yield, hardness and disease levels.
