Under Project VG08012, HAL supports three Nuffield Scholars. Each scholar completes a 16-week Scholarship to travel overseas and study a topic related to the horticultural industry. Topics include: Steve Newman: “The use of labour and machines in vegetable production.” Hieu Minh Ly: “Converting soil grown production methods to hydroponics in protected cropping.” Scott Samwell: “Soil and plant interaction and the concept of fusion farming.”
