The study examined the impact that more integrated land management and vegetable production have on pest issues. The project has undertaken extensive literature review, experiements and grower surveys to determine what benefits will be realised by maintain or creating native areas of native vegetations. The findings suggest that numerous native species are beneficial for revegetation degraded areas on farms, these plants also cause beneficial insects to move from remnant vegetation into crops as do some pests.
