This project investigates the irrigation and fertiliser management of table potatoes in WA over a three-year period. It investigates two main issues – the management of phosphate fertilisers on the heavy soils of the south west of Western Australia and the management of phosphate, nitrogen and irrigation on the sandy soils of the Swan Coastal Plain to minimise leaching of fertilisers and associated water pollution.
