This report investigates potato varieties, indentifying potatoes that have potential benefits to industry and consumers and recommending these varieties from commercial testing. Such varieties will improve the production efficiency and consumer satisfaction, with improved varieties adapted to local conditions readily obtained through the selection program. The report recommends that new varieties need to be proven on a commercial scale.
