Attachment
This project aimed to identify and develop new potato varieties suited to the local export and processing markets. Breeding lines were obtained from the breeding program of Agriculture Victoria. These breeding lines were tested in 3 screenings to identify those that grew well under local conditions. Selections from the screenings were then planted in a district trial program. Imported varieties were also obtained and tested in the district trial program. A new series of experiments started each year.
