VegNET workshop gives growers hands-on experience in pest surveillance

3 April 2018The RIPPA (Robot for Intelligent Perception and Precision Application) is coming to a farm near you over the coming months. The aim of RIPPA is to reduce farm input costs such as labour and fertiliser, as well as improve marketable yield of vegetables, by executing on-farm tasks autonomously.
There are a series of field demonstrations lined up in Tasmania and Victoria in April:
Tasmania
Time/date: 9:00–11:00am and 1:00–5:00pm, Thursday 19 April 2018
Location: Hagley Farm School, 2508 Meander Valley Road, Hagley TAS
In conjunction with: TAPG Precision Agriculture Expo
Victoria
Time/date: 3:00–5:00pm, Tuesday 24 April 2018
Location: Fresh Select, 610 Duncans Road, Werribee VIC
In conjunction with: VegNET (N, W, SE) Future Farming Field Day
Time/date: 1:00–3:00pm, Friday 27 April 2018
Location: Bulmer Farms, 30 Bulmers Rd, Lindenow VIC
In conjunction with: VegNET Gippsland Growers’ Forum
