Profitability of the Australian ginger industry could be enhanced by improvement of cv. Queensland which has unique properties favoured during factory processing. Rhizomes bearing large knobs are preferred for processing into high quality confectionary ginger. This project developed varieities of Tetraploid Ginger to enhance the profitability of the Australian ginger industry.
