Future Technologies Seminar
1 July 2012Managing Brassica Stem Canker Phase 2
25 September 2012This project involved collaboration of research institutes and growers in order to investigate the effects of composted organic material for brassica vegetable production with a range of objectives developed over the course of the study, including a review of invertebrate predators, monitoring of insecticide resistance in populations of diamondback moth, identification of macro-invertebrates involved in the decomposition of harvested brassica residue and a quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for the brassica disease white blister. The project developed the Brassica ICM CD as a multimedia toolkit containing information relevant to anyone involved in Brassica vegetable production in Australia.
This project has been funded by Hort Innovation, using the research and development levies listed below and contributions from the Australian Government. Hort Innovation is the grower-owned, not-for-profit research and development corporation for Australian horticulture.
