The initiation of the Industry Development Officers project in Western Australia was aimed at facilitating the establishment of a communication network to link growers, grower groups, private R&D providers, agronomists, field officers, Western Australian Department of Agriculture and other agencies within WA.

This project has been funded by Hort Innovation, using the research and development levies listed below and contributions from the Australian Government. Hort Innovation is the grower-owned, not-for-profit research and development corporation for Australian horticulture.
