Improved IPM Systems In The Australian Sweet Corn Industry
1 December 2008Benefit Cost Analysis: 10 years of vegetable levy investment
20 May 2009This project details a survey conducted in three states to examine the spread of disease and also establish races of the pathogen within Australia. The results of the field survey indicate that the snow pea wilt pathogen, F. oxysporum pisi is widespread across Australia’s snow pea and pea growing regions. No cultivars were found to be resistant to Fusarium wilt in field and glasshouse trials therefore current control options are limited to avoidance of infected fields and farm hygiene.
This project has been funded by Hort Innovation, using the research and development levies listed below and contributions from the Australian Government. Hort Innovation is the grower-owned, not-for-profit research and development corporation for Australian horticulture.
