21 January 2019This investment was contracted to help combat the threat of cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV). Its work includes identifying weed hosts of the virus and the potential role of other factors, including honey bees, in its incidence. It is also developing improved diagnostics for plant and seed material, with a view to developing in-field tests for rapid detection, and producing guidelines and other materials to support improved virus management and help growers strengthen on-farm biosecurity.
