23 May 2000In the mid 1997, a group of young vegetable growers in Tasmania began to meet as a loose association of colleagues within the vegetable industry. In September 1999, the group was incorporated as an association under the Associations Incorporations Act 1964. The Young Vegetable Growers Group was established for: information and problem sharing, improve on work practices and gain knowledge, enhance business, marketing, and industry skills and to address concerns of young farmers generally, not just within the vegetable industry.
