This paper provides a high level of basic scientific information on the biology and ecology of soil pests, the chemical profile of brassicas, methods for testing strategies on soil borne pests/diseases along with the effectiveness of those alternatives. The study will underpin development of alternate, soundly based strategies for sustainable management of such diseases and pests in horticulture.
