Tasmanian production accounts for approximately 70% of Australian onion exports, with 170 growers in the industry. Botrytis allii is the major casual pathogen in storage losses of onions and has been identified at Roberts Vegetables as a major limiting factor to reducing costs of production and international competitiveness. This project aimed to develop an IPM strategy for controlling the disease of Botytis in onions.
