5 March 2018EnviroVeg is an industry-led environmental best-practice management program for vegetable production businesses. It provides resources for sustainable growing techniques and represents vegetable businesses as responsible stewards of land, water and biodiversity.
The EnviroVeg Pilot Program is a funded pathway through EnviroVeg to reach Freshcare Environmental certification and attain the benefits from production methods that follow environmental best practice and focus on sustainable vegetable growing. By following the program, vegetable production businesses will transition through the program and have all costs covered in order to achieve third-party Freshcare Environmental certification through EnviroVeg.
The second round of applications for the Pilot Program are now open, giving growers the chance to participate in the new format of program training and certification process. The application form is available here. Places are limited and applications close in a few months, so get in now!
If you want to learn more about the Pilot Program and the end benefits that your business could enjoy by taking part, we’ve put together an information sheet about the EnviroVeg Pilot Program, and another information sheet about EnviroVeg as a whole. You can also watch a recorded webinar about EnviroVeg and the importance of healthy soil and correct nutrition management.
