25 June 2017Between 2013 and 2017, ‘Project Harvest’ was responsible for monitoring consumer perceptions, attitudes and behaviour in relation to specific fresh vegetable commodities.
It produced monthly and ad-hoc reports, which remain available from AUSVEG here. This reporting identified trends in purchase and consumption habits, identified gross amount spend month to month, and captured perceptions of value. It also analysed actual retail pricing and availability at various outlets, and summarised news and innovations from around the world in relation to the Australian context.
Consumer reporting was subsequently continued through the online Harvest to Home platform, established by the project Vegetable cluster consumer insights program (MT17017).
This project has been funded by Hort Innovation, using the research and development levies listed below and contributions from the Australian Government. Hort Innovation is the grower-owned, not-for-profit research and development corporation for Australian horticulture.
