Data analytics and app technology to guide on-farm irrigation
31 October 2018Developing and implementing high throughput diagnostic test for Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum (CLso)
8 November 2018This investment will conduct a review of existing information on the bacteria responsible for blackleg/soft rot diseases in potatoes, while also looking at similar bacteria that cause diseases in a range of other crops, where learnings may be relevant for the potato industry. The aim is to develop an understanding on the current status of the pathogens, including their global and national diversity and distribution, their spread, and their potential in terms of threat and impact to the Australian potato industry. There will also be work to examine the status of diagnostic capacity and capability in Australia. Together this information will be used to help inform biosecurity preparedness, and to identify areas for potential industry R&D investment
