This study tour was undertaken to address the following vegetable industry goals: to develop better holistic soil management practices to ensure environmentally and economically sustainable vegetable production, to develop IPM techniques for the vegetable industry in order that the market continues to be supplied with safe and nutritious fresh and processed vegetables, and to have a well-communicated and adopted technology transfer to optimise productivity and quality through a coordinated approach to satisfy market needs.
