Help AUSVEG protect our industry’s biosecurity with feedback survey
On-farm biosecurity plays a massive role in ensuring our industry’s reputation for clean, green and safe produce isn’t threatened by the spread of plant pests and diseases.
AUSVEG is part of a range of efforts to protect the Australian vegetable industry’s biosecurity β from the project supporting control, eradication and preparedness for vegetable leafminer to the vegetable and potato biosecurity programs.
As we continue our work to increase the use of on-farm biosecurity practices and provide practical information for the improvement of on-farm biosecurity across our industry, we want to understand the role that biosecurity plays in your farms and your day-to-day operations.
You can help us by telling us about how you practice on-farm biosecurity, whether that’s washing down your machinery and equipment, making sure your visitors follow biosecurity best practice, or conducting regular and recorded pest surveillance.
We also want to hear about your attitudes towards biosecurity management in Australia. How much of a role do you believe state and federal governments should play in maintaining biosecurity on-farm, at state borders and around the country? How should responsibility be shared between industry and government when it comes to reporting or eradicating plant pests?
By taking a few minutes to complete our online survey, you can help AUSVEG understand how you treat biosecurity and how we can best give you the information you need to protect your farm β as well as how to represent our industry’s interests in discussions about biosecurity policy.
